While participation in this class does not make an individual a member of Larkin Avenue Baptist Church, it is required for church membership. More information can be obtained by emailing the pastor at pastor@labcelgin.org

Here is the testimony of another new member, Karla Close:

Karla Close has lived in the Fox Valley most of her life, moving back here after spending 12 years living in the Louisville, Kentucky area. She is single (divorced) with no children and lives with her 2 cats, Webster and Gracie. She gave her life to the Lord in 1980, and has been involved with Presbyterian and Baptist churches since. She works as a massage therapist at Massage Envy in South Elgin. She has been active in music and drama, both as an actor and a director. She enjoys sewing and handicrafts.

She feels God's leading in bringing her back to the Fox Valley to be nearer to her mother and sister, who are both in Aurora. After visiting several Elgin churches, she felt God leading her to LABC, and was attracted to the warmth and friendliness she found here, as well as the commitment to missions and outreach. She looks forward to making LABC her local church family.
